MY NAME IS. . .

Mae W. (Wilson) Manulat

A very short name really intended for my own sake. :)
My dad chose to have it short for me not to have a difficulty in writing my name when I was young. He knows for a fact that every kid goes through the process in which you repeatedly write your name over and over again to practice. Isn't he smart? hahaha:)
But why Mae of all names?
Because my dad's name also starts with a letter M as well as my mom and elder sister. :)
My name is closely associated with the Month of May but i was born on the 9th month of the year. :)
The real deal is i'm carrying a common name that contradicts my unique personality.

WHY DID I CHOOSE THIS COURSE? :)

It always crosses my mind how cool it is to explain why people act as such.

When I reached college I finally had the chance to take up the course that answers my curiosity towards things but I have to do my mom a favor so I took Information Technology at the Ateneo de Davao University. Things didn’t work out just fine so I transferred here at Brokenshire College and my mom let me choose the course which I think I would perhaps enjoy and pursue. So now I’m taking up BS-Psychology. Psychology taught me a lot. It helped me to be open-minded. It even helped me to realize many things about a person. But the most important thing that I will never forget and what I always share with the people around me are the misconceptions about Psychology. We cannot read minds so we don’t know what a person is thinking about but we can explain with the help of the theories why some people act different from the others. I still have o much to learn about but one thing is for sure, I am enjoying the course.

FRIENDS. :]

This is something i made a few years ago. I wrote this based on my experiences from friends. It's more on how I see how friends should be. :)

Friends are always there ready to listen to your problems.
Friends paint the smile on your face.
Friends are happy when you’re glad.
Friends are lonely when you’re sad.
Friends are sensitive of what you feel.
Friends believe in you.
Friends care for you.
Friends are always there in times of trouble.
Friends stand up for you.
Friends are open to their feelings.
Friends share their thoughts.
Friends bring out the best in you.
Friends encourage you to be yourself.
Friends are concern about you.
Friends push you up when you’re down.
Friends don’t force you to do something that you can’t.
Friends are trust worthy.
Friends are you’re crying shoulders.
Friends are the one that you can count on all the time.
Friends respect what you want.

my new school. :] BROKENSHIRE COLLEGE!

As a graduate of the Ateneo de Davao University high school and a former student of the Ateneo de Davao University College, I see Brokenshire College as an ordinary school for we believe that our school is superior. We are on top of the other schools here in Davao. I should be honest that I underestimated this school.

Suppose to be I should be in my 2nd year in college but then I headed the wrong path which made me still a 1st year college here. My papa decided to enroll me here not just to keep me away from my friends but also for me to continue with my sport, Lawn Tennis. And so it happened for I am a part of the team.

How could I ever forget the 1st time I stepped into this school? It was summer then and I was with my mom to get the list of requirements for a transferee like me. The first few words that came out my mouth was “Ahh. . eto pala ag brok ma” and followed by “ Ok lang. nature-friendly-school. Pero walang air-conditioned classrooms at maliliit ang cr nila” as I was comparing it to my former school then my mama told me to stop with the comments and so I did.

I haven’t appreciated brokenshire in my first few weeks here for I had no friends because I was still locked up in my old life and I still hangout with my old friends. Days passed so fast that I met these genuine people which became my friends. They are Jason, Llemit, Kim and Al who helped me see brokenshire as a better place.

It is a place of simplicity. That is how I describe this school. It is a place where you can freely be yourself with out worrying too much on what other people might say. You don’t have to dress up like the others. You don’t have to pretend of who you really are just to fit in.

Here you can see a happy crowd not because of they’re riches but because of the people around them.

I felt privileged to be in this school for I did not only learn what the teachers taught us but the great lessons that helped me to become a better person and a student that I may not have learned if I haven’t entered Brokenshire College.
